marriage therapy

Over the course of the holiday season my husband and I discovered something…
The game itself isn’t that exciting – unless you were an original Nintendo geek and it was the only video game you were ever really good at and you finally have something that serves to exercise your competitive nature.
But, I digress.
What we discovered is that playing this game is like inexpensive marriage counseling. Plus, if you videotape yourselves playing and watch it later you learn a multitude of things about yourself. We’re thinking we might need to move our sessions up to three times a week – we’re making such progress! *snort*
BTW – this video went on for over 22 minutes. I’ve only subjected you to about 2 of them. You’re welcome.
Goodbye forever.

OMG, that is so funny!!! I kept waiting for you to hit him upside the head with the controller.

And I love your tights, btw.

  2. What I learned? Your daughters are your CLONES!

  3. Miriam says:

So, I found you through GAM and have been reading your blog for quite some time. You crack me up! BTW this same thing happens nightly at our house…. except maybe the roles are reversed. I tend to be the quiet one just trying to beat the board while the DH is more like you complaining about the way I play and all!

I LOVED the look on your face. And Hubby's …. um … "gesture" at the end.

I have been resisting buying the Super Mario Brothers, but now I may have to order it online. I bought it for Britt for Christmas, but didn't give in to the temptation for myself. I'm not playing against you, though! :)

You guys so crack me up. I would love to see the parts that you edited out.

  6. neena says:

The rest was just as bad!

  7. neena says:

Glad we're not the only ones!

  8. neena says:

It's a snow day – go buy it now!

  9. neena says:

    They sure are!

  10. neena says:

    Thanks!

I had to watch this again! I would so love to tape Hubby and I playing a video game, but I don't think either one of us remembers how to even turn the damn thing on…
