New Digs

Oh, hello! I'm so glad you made it! Welcome to my fancy new blog home! This is where I will be writing from now on. This is where I'll be everyday - or at least on the days I feel like writing.

Let us get some logistics and business out of the way up front:

Why leave MamaNeena? Well, after my fabulous trip to Chicago and some wonderfully thoughtful conversations with some of the folks I met, I decided it was time for a new focus. I began blogging a few years ago under the belief that I was a 'mommy blogger.' That may still be true, but I wanted to ability to expand beyond just 'mommy.' I wanted a new place to do that. I wanted to move out from under that umbrella and find a new one that could cover anything and everything, including motherhood. I feel like I can do that here. I feel like I can finally explore some topics, thoughts, and whatnot that didn't quite fit in to the world of MamaNeena.

What will happen to the MamaNeena blog? All content from MamaNeena has been moved over here - so nothing is lost! The blog will stay live for a while until I can convince my readers to come hither. So, be a friend and spread the word that I'm here so I don't feel lost and alone and end up curled up in a ball behind the recliner wondering what happened to all my friends.

Are you still MamaNeena? Yes, I am. Thanks for asking. I just have a new home on the Internet.

What about the book review blog? Oh, my tiny little review blog that nobody really read!? I've combined it with this new blog in an effort to minimize what I was trying to keep up with. I'll still review books and you can still feel free to pass by the reviews for something more entertaining. It won't hurt my feelings - I'm still getting free books!

What changes will we see? Well, nothing dramatic or appearing overnight. I hope to cover some new topics - stuff that might be a little heavier, a little deeper, and not about motherhood. That's not to say that my sharp and witty humor won't appear here on a regular basis or that you won't have my stories of my fabulous kids spewed at you from time to time. I just reserve the right to say 'fuck' more often.
